Vớ dụ: We go to the cinema every weekend.(Chỳng tụi đi xem phim vào mỗi ngày cuối tuần.) b. Miờu tả lịch trỡnh, chương trỡnh hay thời gian biểu (ngụ ý tương lai) Vớ dụ: Oh no! The train leaves at 5 pm. (ễi khụng! Tàu sẽ rời đi lỳc 5 giờ) The cartoon starts at 7:45 p.m. (Bộ phim hoạt hỡnh bắt đầu lỳc 7:45 tối) c. Miờu tả thực tế hay một sự thực hiển nhiờn. Vớ dụ: She works as a nurse. (Cụ ấy là một y tỏ) The sun rises in the east. (Mặt trời mọc ở đằng đụng) d. Miờu tả cỏc trạng thỏi ở hiện tại. Vớ dụ: I am thirsty. (Tụi khỏt) I am not happy. (Tụi khụng vui) 2. DẠNG THỨC CỦA THè HIỆN TẠI ĐƠN a.Với động từ to be * Dạng khẳng định: S + is/ are/ am S + is/ am/ are + not Is/ am/ are +s + ? b. Với động từ thường: Cõu hỏi: ( + ) S + V/ V s/ es + ( - ) S + Do/ does + not + V-infinitive ( ? ) Do/ does + S + V-infinitive Trả lời: Yes, S + do/ does. hoặc No, S + don't/ doesn't. 3. ĐUễI "S/ ES" CỦA ĐỘNG TỪ TRONG THè HIỆN TẠI ĐƠN a. Quy tắc thờm đuụi s/ es - Động từ khụng cú dấu hiệu đặc biệt: Thờm -s vào sau động từ Vớ dụ: get - gets, take - takes - Động từ kết thỳc bằng cỏc chữ cỏi -ss, -sh, -ch, -x, -o: Thờm -es Vớ dụ: miss - misses, wash - washes, watch - watches, mix - mixes, do - does - Động từ kết thỳc bằng một phụ õm và -y: Bỏ -y và thờm -ies Vớ dụ: study - studies - Động từ kết thỳc bằng một nguyờn õm và -y: Thờm -s vào sau động từ 2

Cỏch phỏt õm đuụi s và es - Phỏt õm là /s/ khi õm tận cựng của động từ nguyờn thể là /p/, /t/, /k/, /f/ Vớ dụ: stops , spots , looks , laughs - Phỏt õm là /ɪz/ khi õm tận cựng của động từ nguyờn thể là /s/, /z/, /ʃ/, /tʃ/, /dʒ/ Vớ dụ: misses , rises, washes , watches , judges - Phỏt õm là /z/ khi õm tận cựng của động từ nguyờn thể là cỏc õm cũn lại Vớ dụ: cleans , plays , clears , rides , comes 4. CÁC TRẠNG TỪ/ TRẠNG NGỮ CHỈ THỜI GIAN TRONG THè HIỆN TẠI ĐƠN a. Cỏc trạng từ chỉ tần suất Cỏc trạng từ chỉ tần suất: always, usually, often, sometimes, hardly, rarely, seldom, never chỉ tần suất giảm dần. Trong cõu, những trạng từ này đứng sau động từ “to be” và đứng trước động từ thường. Vớ dụ: Peter is always late for school. (Peter luụn đi học muộn) Peter always goes to school late. (Peter luụn đi học muộn) b. Cỏc trạng từ/ trạng ngữ khỏc Một số trạng ngữ chỉ thời gian bắt đầu bằng every (every day, every Sunday), each (each day, each Sunday) và in the + buổi trong ngày (in the morning, in the afternoon). Những trạng từ này đứng đầu hoặc đứng cuối cõu. Vớ dụ: Every day Peter goes to school late. (Ngày nào Peter cũng đi học muộn.) Peter doesn't get up early in the morning. (Peter khụng thức dậy sớm vào buổi sỏng.) II. THE PRESENT CONTINUOUS TENSE (Thỡ hiện tại tiếp diễn) 1. Cấu trỳc Cõu khẳng định S + is/ am/ are + V-ing Cõu phủ định S + isn’t/ am not/ aren’t + V-ing Cõu hỏi Is/ Am/ Are + S + V-ing? 3
  4. 2. Sự kết hợp giữa chủ ngữ và động từ tobe I am You We are They He She is It N is Ns are 3. Cỏch dựng chớnh  Dựng để diễn tả một hành động đang xảy ra tại thời điểm hiện núi hoặc xung quanh thời điểm núi. Vớ dụ: I am watching a film now. (Tụi đang xem phim - hành động xem phim diễn ra ngay tại thời điểm núi) I am writing an essay these days. (Thời gian này tụi viết một bài luận - chủ thể của hành động đọc khụng nhất thiết phải viết bài luận ngay trong lỳc núi chuyện)  Diễn tả một sự việc sẽ xảy ra trong tương lai theo một kế hoạch đó được lờn lịch cố định (thay thế cho tương lai gần), đặc biệt là trong văn núi. Vớ dụ: I am going to the theatre tonight. (Tụỉ nay tụi sẽ đến rạp hỏt - hành động đến rạp hỏt đang chuẩn bị diễn ra) I bought the ticket yesterday. I am flying to New York tomorrow. Ta thấy cú căn cứ, kế hoạch rừ ràng (tụi đó mua vộ mỏy bay) nờn ta sử dụng thỡ hiệntại tiếp diễn để núi về một việc chắc chắn sẽ xảy ra trong tương lai.  Diễn tả sự khụng hài lũng hay phàn nàn về việc gỡ trong cõu sử dụng "always". Vớ dụ: He is always coming late. (Anh ta toàn đến muộn.) Why are you always putting your dirty clothes on your bed? (Sao lỳc nào con cũng để quần ỏo bẩn trờn giường thế hả?) 4. Dấu hiệu nhận biết 4
  5. Trong cõu thường cú cỏc trạng từ sau: now, right now, at the moment, at present, Trong cõu cú cỏc động từ như: Look! (Nhỡn kỡa!) Listen! (Hóy nghe này!) Keep silent! (Hóy im lặng) Vớ dụ: Look! The tram is coming. (Nhỡn kia! Tàu đang đến.) Listen! Someone is crying. (Nghe này! Ai đú đang khúc.) Keep silent! The baby is sleeping. (Hóy im lặng! Embộ đang ngủ.) 5. Lưu ý  Cỏc động từ trạng thỏi ở bảng sau khụng được chia ở thể tiếp diễn (bất cứ thời nào)khi chỳng là những động từ tĩnh diễn đạt trạng thỏi cảm giỏc của hoạt động tinh thần hoặc tớnh chất của sự vật, sự việc. know understand have believe hate need hear love appear see like seem smell want taste wish sound own  Nhưng khi chỳng là động từ hành động thỡ chỳng lại được phộp dựng ở thể tiếp diễn. Vớ dụ: She has a lot of dolls. (She is having a lot of dolls) Tuy nhiờn, cú thể: She is having his lunch. (Cụ ấy ĐANG ăn trưa -hành động ăn đang diễn ra) 6. Quy tắc thờm sau động từ Thụng thường ta chỉ cần thờm "-ing" vào sau động từ. Nhưng cú một số chỳ ý như sau: o Với động từ tận cựng là MỘT chữ "e": Ta bỏ "e" rồi thờm "-ing". Vớ dụ: write - writing; type -typing; come – coming o Tận cựng là HAI CHỮ "e" takhụng bỏ"e" mà vẫn thờm "-ing" bỡnh thường. o Với động từ cú MỘT õm tiết, tận cựng là MỘT PHỤ ÂM, trước là MỘT NGUYấN ÂM Ta nhõn đụi phụ õm cuối rồi thờm "-ing".
